Aging comes with skin aging, and as your skin ages it slowly loses it's elasticity. As skin elasticity is important for great looking skin increasing skin elasticity with age is important too, and for this reason so many women are looking for ways to do so with vitamins and supplements and creams.

Do these ways of increasing skin elasticity work and is there any alternative?

Why not examine what skin elasticity is and what your options are to improve it as you age.

If you're interested in skin care chances are you've heard of elastin and collagen, 2 skin and body proteins essential for good looking skin. These help keep your skin firm but supple and both these characteristics are important for wrinkle free skin.

But with age the stores of collagen and elastin decline and this increases the risk of wrinkles.

(And there's other factors too, like sun damage and smoking, both of which are terrible for your skin.)

As your skin loses elasticity it starts to say, it doesn't pull into place like it did when you were younger.

So for some time science has been trying to come up with ways to increase skin collagen and increase elastin stores in the skin.

And that's why you see so many skin care products on the shelves with collagen and elastin in them. But this doesn't work. Why? It's been known for some time that the molecule size of collagen and elastin is too big to penetrate the skin.

So why would these skin care companies put them in the bottles? Because they know that the people who buy skin care products want to see them in the bottles, because then they buy them believing that they are increasing skin elasticity through increasing these proteins.

And collagen supplements have never been conclusively shown to increase skin collagen either.

But we have some very dedicated scientists and they have found an answer to increasing skin elasticity. They have found a way to stimulate the skin to produce more of it's own collagen and elastin. Very smart.

And you can now get skin care products that contain a patented new ingredient called Cynergy TK. Trials in the use of these products have shown quite quick visible results.

But the big brand companies spend most of their budget on advertising and less on product quality, and as Cynergy TK is really expensive they don't use it in their products.

But there is one niche skin care company that reverses this and spends it's budget on product quality and not on advertising, so you'll never have heard of them. They do use Cynergy TK in their products.

So yes increasing skin elasticity through increasing elastin and collagen is possible, and does work. But not as you might expect, and not through collagen supplements or vitamins or creams that contain collagen and elastin. You just need to get the skin to grow more of it's own.
