Under our current economic climate, it is fair to say that the heating industry has been suffering as of late. However, installers should not be discouraged by this and give in to the economic pressures. Nor should they just wait it out until the situation stabilises more. There are actually numerous opportunities for installers to get stuck into good business.

Unfortunately many installers fail to recognise these opportunities that come to them and take advantage. One particular area is the radiator market. This area of the market has grown in popularity over a period of time and there are many products available.

As the local government has continued to make investments in social housing and public building works, such as healthcare and education, this has led to an increased demand in specialist heating products which can cater for these specific areas.

Many household owners who were once thinking about moving house have now changed their minds and have set their goals on improving their homes instead. Consequently, household owners are now purchasing designer radiators and products, which offer them great style and high performance.

The economic crisis has inevitably led to cost-cutting across homes in the UK. Therefore many consumers are finding ways to reduce their fuel bills. Many see the advantage of having an efficient heating system as a great way to cost-cut. Consumers do not want to invest more money into purchasing thermostatic radiator valves or changing to a high efficiency boiler. They are trying to find other ways to save.

The installer should listen carefully to the customer's needs and wants, and provide them with a wide variety of options that will cater to these. This will encourage the customer to think carefully about the options available to them before coming to a decision.

Radiators are often seen as drab looking accessories in the home. A chance to give their radiator a makeover will be a surprising thought to many but not one that will be dismissed. The installer can help the customer recognise that the radiator can be a stylish item to have in the home.

Provide your consumer with a wide range of options. Tell them that you can have double-panelled radiators, single-panelled or one which is clear glass. The variety of styles and designs you can choose from are endless.

Towel warmers are also on the increase in popularity. They can come in a variety of models just like radiators. There are also a wide range of floor stand designs available, which allows for greater flexibility in your home design, and making your bathroom very stylish.

The radiator in the home does not just have to be there to provide heat. It has the capacity to be stylish and trendy too. As an installer if you are successful in making the customer aware of this, you may be onto a winner.
